The native app is on the way. Meanwhile, here is how to have Titan on your phone

Titan is a web app: it opens in your browser and there is nothing to download from the App Store or Google Play. The native app is on our roadmap, and you can still have Titan on your phone in two minutes, by adding it to your home screen. It gets its own icon on your home screen, one tap away and with no address to type.

What the shortcut does and what it does not

What it doesWhat it does not do
Puts a Titan icon on your home screen, next to your other appsIt is the same web app, not a different product with different features
On iPhone it opens full screen, with no browser bar and no address barOn Android it does not open full screen yet: the icon takes you to Titan inside Chrome
Gets you to your portfolio, your dividends, your calendar and your theses in one tapIt does not work without a connection. Titan loads your data every time you open it
It updates itself, because it is the web: you are always on the latest versionIt does not send you anything. No notifications of any kind

Same account, same data. Whatever you change on your phone is there when you open Titan on your computer, and the other way round.

Titan does not tell you what to buy or sell, and it does not promise any return. It processes the information you give it so you can make informed decisions. The decisions are yours.

STEP 1

iPhone and iPad

Do it in Safari. Other browsers on iOS can add shortcuts too, but the menu moves around from one to another and Safari is the one that always behaves.

  1. Open app.titanmanager.io in Safari and log in.
  2. Tap the three dots button on the Safari bar, then Share.
  3. Scroll down the list of options and tap Add to Home Screen. On some versions of iOS that option is already in the first menu, which saves you a step.
  4. The name comes filled in as Titan Manager. Change it if you want, then tap Add.
  5. The icon is on your home screen. Open it and Titan takes the whole screen.

If it asks you to log in again the first time, that is normal: the shortcut keeps its own session, separate from the one in Safari. It only happens once.

STEP 2

Android

Do it in Chrome.

  1. Open app.titanmanager.io in Chrome and log in.
  2. Tap the three dots menu, top right.
  3. Tap Add to Home screen. Depending on your version of Chrome the option reads Install app, which is the same thing.
  4. Confirm with Install or Add. If Android offers to place the icon for you, say yes; if not, drag it where you want it.
  5. Open it from the home screen and Titan opens in Chrome. On Android the icon is still a shortcut for now, so the browser bar stays where it is.

Other browsers get you to the same place with different wording. In Samsung Internet it is the menu, then Add page to, then Home screen. In Firefox it is the menu, then Install.

One detail worth knowing

Add it from app.titanmanager.io itself, not from a screen you navigated into. The shortcut remembers the page you were on when you created it, so if you make it from the Calendar, the Calendar is where it opens every time.

What your phone is good for

Titan is built for desktop and it shows considerably better there. The shortcut is for consulting on the move, not for replacing your desk.

Works well on a phoneBetter sitting at your computer
Checking your positions and where your portfolio stands todayEntering or reviewing your transactions
Running an optimisation to see how your portfolio would lookWriting a thesis or filling in a sector report
Rereading a thesis you already wrote before you decide anythingPreparing results and going through their scenarios

The screens with wide tables, Dashboard, Transactions and Dividends, show three columns on a phone and the rest open with the expand button at the top right of the table.

About the native app

We are working on it and it is on the roadmap. When it is ready, we will let you know.

Until then, the shortcut leaves Titan one tap away.

Two minutes and it is done. Open Titan in your phone’s browser, follow the steps for your system, and the icon stays on your home screen. If you have not created your account yet, the guide walks you through it.
